Hawaii!!!

We decided to take our first ever almost whole family vacation to celebrate my dad's 60th bday.  We all missed Mark and wished he was with us but we are so proud of how hard he is working!!  We decided the Aulani was the perfect place to celebrate and we ended up spending a wonderful week in paradise complete with sun, surf, and plenty of Gigi and Papa time.  From the character breakfast to the luau, it was a wonderful time for everyone.  I think the boys would have been fine to look at fish and swim with Papa all day...and Mommy and Daddy didn't mind the spa retreat they enjoyed on the last day!  I look forward to our next family trip with EVERYONE, Uncle Mark and baby Detar #3!

Happy 60th Birthday Dad!

We wanted to celebrate my Dad's 60th with all the family before heading out to Hawaii and decided what better way than with a surprise KC and the Sunshine Band party.  Everyone was encouraged to dress in theme (there may have been some party poopers in that area) and my dad showed up thinking it was a small anniversary dinner for his mom and dad.  He was so surprised and loved the music!  It was a great way to kick off the week #papatimturnsthebig60!

Weaning

My sweet Wyatt Bear has officially weaned from nursing.  It was a lot harder for me than it was for him, which made it even harder for this mama.  I am amazed that simply cuddling with me and listening to my angelic voice sing him to sleep is all he needs before bedtime.  I am going to miss that special time with my baby.

Seattle

We ventured up to Seattle for a little family vacay before Daddy headed off to fish with Papa Cliff for a few days.  It worked out perfect since Papa Cliff was flying in on Sunday and we were flying out- Daddy just dropped us off at the airport and picked up the arriving passengers.  Yes, this meant I was flying home by myself with two little boys, and yes, that meant it did get to be a bit of a circus at times, but we all made it and loved the quick getaway.  We stayed with Lyndsay and Scott and Little Guy and Judah had a blast playing together.  It was great to see their house and catch up, we hadn't really spent a chunk of time with them since Africa.  The weather was a bit chilly and rainy, but it's Seattle so what do you expect?  Here are some shots from the fun weekend.
