Big Jack

Cari and I wanted to grab a late birthday lunch and Little Guy desperately wanted to see his best buddy Big Jack, so we decided a lunch date for all was in order.  Little Guy could not stop talking about his lunch date, telling anyone who would listen that "he was having lunch with Big Jack, Big Jack is his friend, Big Jack is an adult".  I can't imagine a more patient 11 year old boy, I can only hope/dream/pray/beg that my little loves follow in his footsteps.  Big Jack, thank you for being the best role model we could ever hope for, you are AMAZING!!!

2o week ultrasound

We had our 20 week anatomy scan and we did NOT find out the gender of baby #3!  I had the sweetest tech who happened to have three boys at home and was more than happy to have Wyatt Bear there to see his baby sister/brother.  Wyatt Bear was an angel and enjoyed seeing my belly but didn't quite get that the baby was on the screen.  Everything looked great and I was never tempted to sneak a peek boy or girl.  Daddy had to work last minute so he wasn't able to join us and I think that was for the better since he REALLY wanted to find out...We can't wait to meet you sweet baby D, boy or girl you are already so loved!

The BOM

After starting my birthday week off with a trip to Disneyland, we continued the fun with a local day at home complete with birthday balloons, flowers, and homemade dinner before rounding out the week with an adults only trip to the city.  Twelve of us traveled out to San Fran on what was a maginificently clear day for dinner and a show.  The women could not have been more excited about seeing Book of Mormon and the men could not have been better sports to going along with such a fun evening.  It was a nice time hanging with all our friends adult only and got us excited for our next adventure!

The Happiest Place on Earth

I've been hounding Gabe to go to Disneyland and on this last push, he totally surprised me and said I don't want to go in a month, I want to go tomorrow....so in true last minute fashion, we booked a hotel and headed down to Disney, only telling the boys we were going on a super fun adventure...I am not sure who was more excited when we walked through the gates.  All I know is Mr. Wyatt Bear can spot a character from a mile away and Little Guy is officially 40 inches and a lover of all fast and scary rides, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad included.  I was bummed I couldn't do the big boy rides with him since I am preggo with number 3, but the big boys had a blast in line together and Mr. Wyatt Bear and I got to explore the park together.  It was our first time at Disneyland just the 4 of us and it was just the most perfect two days.  From the evening hot tubbing to the Pixar parade, the whole family was in heaven and can't wait to go back.

Feeding Hay

Auntie came and surprised us with a visit and what better way to have a good time then to feed hay and visit the cows.  Everyone had a fun time and I loved getting to see the houses they are looking at up our way...fingers crossed that they eventually pull the trigger and relocate to the '87.  If we're really lucky, Gigi and Papa may follow them as well!  Until then, we'll settle for Sunday afternoon playdates!

Happy Birthday Sister

We headed out for a night on the town to celebrate Katie turning the big 3-0!  She considered skipping any and all celebrations in hopes that if she didn't acknowledge it, it wasn't happening, but we said no way Jose and spent the night laughing and cheersings to a great year ahead.  Happiest of happy 30th birthdays to my one and only favorite little sister!  Welcome to the next decade of your life!

Spring Break to Six Flags

Even though it's just preschool spring break, it's our first official school spring break so we decided to party it up each day!  We planned our group trip to Six Flags and a special trip with Gigi so we ended up double dosing on one of our favorite local hot spots.  Here are some shots from both the fun trips.

Melting My Heart

Mr. Wyatt Bear LOVES babies.  He loves the baby in my tummy and LOVES LOVES LOVES babies we see out on the town.  I knew he would love the baby we got him for Easter, but I wasn't sure how into he'd be while he played other games.  Well, this baby rides on the back of his bike, sits in his lap in car, and "sleeps" next to him while he does blocks.  Little Guy even has a chance to rock him and sing to him when Wyatt allows.  It makes me so happy to see them getting practice with a little one before September.  Here's a shot of Mr. Wyatt Bear snuggled up with baby this morning!

Hoppy Easter

We celebrated Easter at our house this year (it's become a tradition that I LOVE!!) with our families and friends.  We were missing a few people, but we still rounded out the crowd with 16 adults and 6 kiddos, so I'd say it was a full house!  Before anyone came over we hit up the donut shop and had a fun time playing with our Easter baskets.  The new soccer clothes and Lego garbage truck were a hit with Little Guy and Mr. Wyatt Bear couldn't have been more excited to see the new, VERY life like, baby sitting in his basket.  We spent the morning prepping food and recleaning the house (why I clean before kids go down for naps is beyond me), while Gabe did an awesome job with a Kobe New York strip that he roasted and the complimentary side dishes were divine.  We had an egg hunt for the kiddos and enough dessert to last all week.  I'd love to show some pictures, but I did not take even one...it may have started with my oldest son insisting on wear his comfy sweat shorts that I didn't feel inspired to snap the family photo...or the freezing weather that had us all bundled up over our Easter outfits.  Whatever the reason, there are no photos but many great memories for the day!

My Easter Bunny

Today was the Easter party for Little Guy at PEP.  He was so excited with his egg hunt findings and his bunny get up!  I love that he is just blossoming in preschool and looks forward to seeing his friends and teachers every day!  He learns new songs everyday, some of them I know and surprise him when I sing along, and I love to overhear him walking through the house reciting the little prayer Pastor Mary says with them every Tuesday. We are starting spring break, and while I am excited for the daily outings I have planned, we're all a little sad we won't be seeing our favorite school staff for a whole week!
