Soccer Champ

Little Guy started soccer this week and we all are loving the little Saturday time at the field.  He is really taking to Coach Al and loves to practice his kicks with the net from Evan and Riley.  I hope his interest sticks, I'd love to watch him play an actual game.  In the meantime, we'll settle for precious 3 year olds running around crazy with the calmest coach just reminding them there are no hands in soccer.

Monthly Photo Bomb- January

Sometimes I don't have stories for all my pictures, but I think they are just too cute not to share....

Sleeping like a....

Mr. Wyatt Bear has recently decided that going to sleep unassisted is no longer something he wants to do and if he isn't going to be rocked for three plus hours, then he isn't going to go to sleep.  Well, this mama, along with being pregnant, allowed to eat next to nothing, nursing, and raising two sweet boys, is sleep deprived and needs for something to change.  We waited until after Daddy's birthday but hopefully with plenty of time before Hawaii to start a new plan.  Today we are following the sleep wave technique and hoping to, as painlessly as possible, help Wyatt Bear get back to his old ways of falling asleep on his own and remaining asleep throughout the night.  I have a feeling it's going to be pretty rough before it gets better, I'll keep you posted!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Daddy celebrated his 36th birthday today!  I may have been pretty quick to point out how close he was to 40! (YIKES!) which makes me older too so I am not sure why I laugh about it....anyways, we had our families over to celebrate the most awesome husband and daddy we know and it was a blast.  My parents and sister and brother in law got to meet Baby Patrick and Kim's parents were in town so we all got to visit and catch up!  Happy Birthday love, it's been the best adventure growing older with you the last 12 years!

Return of the Colds

Talk about a blow to the system!  We had been out of school for two weeks and only returned for half a week last week, so I was feeling really great about everyone FINALLY being healthy again...then last Thursday Little Guy went down for a nap and woke up snotty nosed and glassy eyed...how to germs take over a little body so quickly?!?!?  I am not sure why I even try to avoid it anymore, I know Mr. Wyatt Bear and I are destined to get it sooner or later and wouldn't you know it, after staying inside Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, Little Guy was feeling back to his old self and Mommy and Mr. Wyatt Bear woke up feeling crummy!  I am REALLY hoping that these preschool colds pay off and kindergarten isn't such a killer to the immune system!

Girls Night In

My sweet hubby stuffed my Christmas stocking with an inhouse catered meal for me and seven girlfriends.  I cashed in on this gift asap and had the ladies over tonight for a relaxed evening of girl talk, eating, and drinking.  It was themed, "All about you", meaning anything from yoga pants, to jammies, to cocktail attire was fair game.  Spoiler alert, no one wore cocktail attire, jeans were as fancy as anyone got.  I wish I had pictures, but alas, just the memories will have to do.  Until the next girls night out (can we say 50 Shaded of Grey next month!)...

DeTars Do Truckee

We went on a mini vacay with the DeTars up to the family cabin in Truckee...no, there was NO snow and yes, Little Guy is convinced he saw a bear.  The unusually warm weather made it quite toasty in the warm snow gear we brought up, but we did hit up the snow park for a few hours of sledding and I am pretty sure Little Guy is in love!  The first time we went he made friends with Izzy and she helped him master the moving carpet, the second time he was flying solo and getting crazy with tricks that included ducking his head inside his tube the whole time...CRAZY I tell you.  Little Guy also acquired a fishing pole and tackle box from Grandma and Papa and Mr. Wyatt Bear left Cabella's with a brand new dog ball.  The fishing pole was instantly put to use with no luck, but while down at the lake, Little Guy came eye to ear with a bear and lucky for him Uncle Luke was right behind the tree waiting with a stick to show him to scare away bears...this little gag may have backfired...Little Guy went to bed worried a bear was lurking outside the cabin and the first thing he said when he woke up was about the bear!  Aside from the beautiful weather and wild animal "sightings", we got to snuggle baby Patrick for three days- I am not ashamed to say I hogged as much baby snuggle time as I could.  We hit up the casino and arcade ( everyone would have been better off staying in the arcade, it was a rough run!), and played many rounds of Heads Up.  It was a great little getaway, until next time Tahoe.

And 3 makes 5!

Today we found out that baby # 3 is set to make his or her debut sometime come mid September...Gabe and I can't stop laughing, this is going to be one fun and crazy ride!!!Here's a sneak peek at the card we're sending out to let everyone know our great news!

Walking With Dinosaurs

We took Little Guy and his buddy Noah to see Walking with Dinosaurs today.  Mr. Wyatt Bear stayed behind with Macy and it was a bit of a rough sell to see his whole family leaving without him.  Once he got over it, Macy assures us he was happy as a clam to have a captive audience.  Walking with Dinosaurs was a magnificent show, both boys loved it- especially the scene with the realistically sized dino poop.  The adults were equally as impressed, the dinosaurs were HUGE and it was quite amazing to see them stomp around the arena.  The show was rounded out with a light up toy from Noah's daddy- happy campers all around!

Hear that spider?

Little Guy had to go potty in the middle of the night, and as we were sitting there in the dark, he asked me if I could hear the spiders.  I told him I can't usually hear spiders, and he said, "No, the spiders are in Daddy's bottom"...you're busted Dad!  No more blaming the toots on spiders.

Global Winter Wonderland

We took the boys to Global Winter Wonderland tonight.  We made a quick, and I mean QUICK 40 minute stop to the mall before we headed over.  Lucky for us we had hit up Six Flags earlier so we were able to dodge the carnival rides- the lights, the bubbles, and the light up helicopters made it quite the show!
