Frozen

Today we went and saw Frozen-Little Guy was in heaven in his own chair with his own box of popcorn... Mr. Wyatt Bear wasn't too sure about the dark theater or the loud noises but after 20 minutes of and in and out bouncy time, he decided he was ready to watch the movie.  He also decided that during the movie would be a really good time to experiment with his voice to see how loud he could yell, laugh, and cry.  We didn't have to worry about the volume since there were children talking behind us...the joys of kiddo movies.  When it was all done Little Guy asked for another one- he hadn't taken his eyes off the screen or his bottom out of the chair.  I'd say our first new release feature film movie theater experience was a success!

Tastes So Good

I am just mesmerized by this baby that eats...Little Guy NEVER took to food until after he was well over one year old, so to see a baby want to eat food is a bit of shock in this house.  Mr. Wyatt Bear is always up for a little dinnertime, but it never fails that after the first taste he flinches back and gags like you just fed his poison...and then he's quickly grabbing for more.  He certainly has an appetite to keep up with those chubby thighs.  Total foods to date include carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, apples, bananas, and a few tastes of avocado- other than the avocado, everything has been a hit.

Pooper Scooper

Little Guy is obsessed with picking up poop...he wants to do it all day every day.  He's usually content to wait for daddy to get home, but today when I came in from the garage I spotted this outside (and yes, it's unseasonably warm for January, that's why he's without pants)...Little Guy decided he'd pick up the poop with his personal shovel...and if a piece fell off, he'd just pick that up with his personal hand...I m glad he's so eager to help daddy with this outside chore, but I think it needs to en closely supervised....in the meantime, the shovels were put in the shed and extra wipes and hand washing happened next.

Book of Mormon

Extra!  Extra!! Read all about it!!!  My bestie and I have a photo together...of the two of us...doing something adultish...in the city...on a school night...what?!?!?!?  Crazy, I know!  Heather and I hit up The Book of Mormon this evening and Oh.My.Gosh was it hilarious and such a great night out! We both loved the play and admitted to feeling almost guilty laughing at some of the utter inappropriateness of it all- we had amazing seats and pre-ordered champagne for intermissions, it really couldn't have gotten much better.  From our perfectly timed BART trains, to the unseasonably warm city weather, pre-show entertainment on our trains, and six uninterrupted hours of girlfriend time...I think I see an annual trip in the making!

Amoxicillan

Our sweet love just couldn't seem to kick the cold we had all gotten on Christmas so I decided it was time to call the doctor.  Since he had just been seen for his six month appointment last week, the doctor didn't feel it was necessary to trek him back into the germy hospital, so he called in our Amoxicillan and inhaler and we were all set.  It appears Mr. Wyatt Bear's cold turned into a sinus infection and got hung up in his lungs as well.  So far the medicine seems to be helping, but he still has a cold so the antibiotics can only do so much...poor baby, between the syringe of medicine, the snot sucker, the inhaler, and general achyness that comes from a cold, it's amazing that he is still smiling ALL THE TIME!  Oh sweet Mr. Wyatt Bear, you are one tough cookie!

Loving Life

We hit up the park today for a play date with our buddy Lizzy Bug.  Mr. Wyatt Bear was so happy in the swing, it made Little Guy laugh so hard and I couldn't help but snap a ton of pictures!  The older two had a great time running and sliding; Little Guy continues to have NO fear on the playground and his mother continues to have mini heart attacks as she watches him scale the rock wall, rush down the giant slide, or attempt a no handed jump off the platform...

Rub a Dub Dub

Mr. Wyatt Bear sat up in the tub. For the first time I took off the mesh sling and our little babe just sat in the bath tub, chilling with his wash cloth. He's always lobed his bath and today was no exception! I'm still sticking with the baby bath in the kitchen sink since it saves my back, but now he's got a little more freedom to splash around.

We went to Evan and Ryan's second birthday bash today....Little Guy and Landon were able to reach the cookies unassisted and probably consumed at least 3 sugar cookies each ( and they were LARGE "2" cookies) and then went on to have monster cupcakes...Little Guy ate the frosting, announced he was "all done" and then passed out in the car....after naps and delivery pizza, both boys were in bed by 6:30. Here's to hopefully sleeping in a little tomorrow morning to start our week off right....
