Pampering Time
We celebrated Mother's Day early with my mom and sister today by indulging in a little foot massage and relaxation time. My dear hubby was able to sneak away from work early so I could get out the bay area and back in time for Wyatt's bedtime :) It was a great way to kick off the Mother's Day weekend...I feel so blessed to have a wonderful women in my life to support and guide one another through our journey of motherhood.

Reading Rainbow
I heard Mr. Wyatt Bear starting to stir from his morning nap. Then I heard Little Guy hauling the walker toy up the stairs. Next I heard him in Mr. Wyatt Bear's room which was just fine since I knew he was already up...I went in to check on them and they were both in the crib! I am not sure how Little Guy managed it since there was no stool anywhere near the crib, but he had climbed in there with books and was reading to his brother. Yep, I melted right there. It was precious to see them in the crib and even more darling to hear Little Guy "reading"...he pointed to each picture and had commentary for every animal. My day also included making it onto Little Guy's best friend list which included Daddy, Mr. Wyatt Bear, Odd Ball, Neigh Neigh, and Jack Jack today, and hitting up the May Fair. Little Guy was too short to ride anything but the Merry-go-Round (and that might not have made me sad), but we had a blast with our buddies, the animals, and fair food. Little Guy decided the cock-a-doodle-dos (also known as turkeys) were too loud and the dairy cow was a little too much to pet. All in all, a pretty great day!

Cinco De Papa
We celebrated Papa Cliff's birthday today and also marked the fourth day since we have last bathed...the boys that is, not Mommy or Daddy. We had a blast with our family and Little Guy is always excited for anything that gets him singing Happy Birthday and having chocolate cake. Happy Birthday Papa Cliff, we hope your year is AMAZING!

Air Show
We took the boys to the airshow today- it was all set to be an amazing trip, and it was the entire time we were there. Little Guy sat and watched the planes cut the ribbon, do loopy loops, and zoom over head. We walked through an airplane big enough to house a football field (how it flies is beyond me), saw plenty of Dusty crop hoppers, and had our eardrums blown away when the fighter jets circled overhead, not once, not twice, but three times ( I loved this, Little Guy was a hot mess and wanted out of the air show immediately!). I told Gabe I was said we weren't staying for the Thunder birds, but the boys were beyond tired and I knew two more hours of waiting would make us all sorry...it turned out to be a good thing we left, there was a terrible accident with a plane trying to cut a ribbon and the pilot did not survive. Our friends who were there said it was a devastating scene with smoke and flames and complete chaos. I can't imagine seeing such a tragedy and I am not sure how Little Guy would have handled it. It's another big reminder how precious each day is.

Happy Birthday Gigi
We celebrated Gigi's birthday with a dinner at Auntie's house on the real day and a friendly gathering at Gigi and Papa's later that weekend. We had so much fun playing with Peyton and all her toys and her new water table. Auntie did an awesome job with the decor and dinner, just like she always does, and everyone had a great time celebrating Gigi's birthday.

10 months old
Mr. Wyatt Bear is 10 months old!!! We love this little happy dude so much, it's amazing to think he's growing up so fast and loving every minute of it...except when his mama puts him in the clothes basket!

I'm not Chick
Little Guy got a new balance bike today and it's green....and fast....I asked if I could call him "Chick" (from Cars) and he said, " I'm not Chick. I'm not Lightning McQueen. I'm Wesley Simon Detar"... Oh sweet boy, you are certainly your own little person.
