Yogurt Thug

This dude is tough...or a total ham.  He loves to bite his yogurt spoon and thinks it's so funny when I try to get it back.  Mr. Wyatt Bear is our all star eater- his breakfast includes yogurt, pancakes or toast, fruit, a nursing session, and sometimes tofu...what a way to start the day.

Sesame Street Live

It was that time of year again, Sesame Street Live 2014!  We were so excited to have Miss P joining us this year, and as an added bonus Auntie and Gigi as well.  Little Guy was excited to be going to Elmo's house, but if we're being honest, he was REALLY siked to have Jack-Jack drive in his car....Heather and I agree we could have saved a lot of money and just drove them around for a few hours, however, that would not have given us all a chance to sing and dance with the Street Gang.  Mr. Wyatt Bear and Peyton weren't too sure about the characters, but everyone loved the show, especially since we were sitting front and center.  Until next year Elmo!

Slivers

Little Guy had been limping around on and off today...I chalked it up to his sometimes dramatic self wanting another band aid...I didn't think I needed to be any more concerned because every time we put on a new band aid, he walked away seemingly fine.  Finally, while he was limping around his bedroom looking for a bedtime story, I got the head lamp out and really looked at his foot.  He had a small sliver in the center of his foot, yep, that would make me limp too.  Daddy held him down while I got it with one pull with the tweezers.  It was painless, but of course leading up to the surgical moment we had full theatrics on our hands.  As soon as the sliver was out and he put weight on his foot, he turned and said "Thank you guys" with a huge smile on his face.  It was pretty precious to hear him thank us.  I love when Little Guy thinks to say thank you in response to a kind gesture or act, not just when he gets a gift or something handed to him.

Medicine

We made a quick run to Michael's today before heading to gymnastics...Little Guy was a wonderful helper and Mr. Wyatt Bear was his usual charming smily self.  While we were standing in line, I was silently congratulating my crew on a wonderful shopping outing, when I reached down to rub Little Guy's face...and my hand came up super greasy.  Then I noticed his hair, it looked like it had not been washed in 3 weeks.  I asked him what was on his face and hair and he told me "medicine".  I asked where he got the medicine and he told me him and Oddball had got the medicine together in the bathroom and then he had put it on both of them.  I was at a loss- I had smelled it, rubbed it, examined it, and could not figure out what it was.  Once we were home, a quick survey of the bathroom produced a tube of Eucerin ointment with an open lid and a very greasy tube.  Oh Little Guy, you keep it interesting.every.single.day.

Off the Grid and The Jem

We met up with friends in SF for the Off the Grid food truck extravaganza.  It was a beautiful day in the city, a little windy, but not a cloud in sight.  We were just below the Golden Gate bridge with sailboats and tankers littering the ocean.  Little Guy had a blast with the children and we all had a great time catching up with old friends.  We extended the fun and had Gigi and Papa over for dinner and popped one of our African wines.  It was delicious, I had two glasses.  My only question now is, when can we go back to pick up more???

His Oddball

He simply cannot get enough of his best friend Oddball...and by the looks of these photos, the feeling is mutual.

Happy Mother's Day

I decided what better way to celebrate Mother's Day than to return to last spot I visited before becoming a mother of two...Yep, Train Town :)  What a different experience it is to ride a Ferris Wheel WITHOUT contractions taking your breath away.  Little Guy and Mr. Wyatt Bear were EXCITED to head out and after morning naps we were on our way.  Gigi and Papa met up with us and we all had a blast in Sonoma ( I may have said I would like to live there, but Daddy quickly talked me out of that...)We hit up a darling tavern for lunch and the boys were both great dates for the day.  It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday.  From my Starbucks tumblers to the late afternoon swim, it was just what I wanted, to spend the day with my loves.
