Bruised Avocados

Disclaimer:  There is too much I want to recap for just one topic or theme...pardon the disjointed chain of thought...

Little Guy still doesn't like to eat solid foods.  He LOVES to nurse and seems pretty content to live off breast milk (I may be loving this as well.)  Anyways, today at lunch I continued my futile efforts with some avocado.
Here's how we started
So clean and fresh...

Midway through...
Someone get this boy a trough!

All Done!
Or how about a Kleenex?!?
Our brand new white and gray sweatsuit may not have weathered this dining out experience so well, but on the bright side I think he did ACTUALLY ingest some solid food today.

Little Guy is insistent that he sit up on his own, reach for toys on his own, and fall over all on his own without breaking his fall.  We try to catch him before this happens, but sometimes he is too quick, or it doesn't look like anything to be worried about.  That's what we thought yesterday when he took a little face plant in the bathroom...result, a little bloody lip ( I think he wanted to be like his daddy).  Today he took a face-forward dive into the table leg and not ten minutes later followed it up with a sideways fall...result, a bump on the head and a pretty red eye socket...between my husband and Little Guy, I am going to need a lot of ice packs and good emergency room reading material.

To wind down from our yummy exciting day, we took a bath.  Aside from Little Guy just loving bath time (it's so precious to watch him just lounge in his rubber ducky), today he was mesmerized with the drain. He could not figure out the noise it made while the water drained...I just love seeing the curiosity and excitement in his eyes.  Watching a baby experience the world for the first time really makes you appreciate how awesome life truly is.

Final note of the day- Our tribute tees are still waiting to be worn...
